Minehead is a traditional seaside resort, just outside of the National Park, serving as the eastern gateway to Exmoor. The South West Coast Path starts here on its 630 mile route to Poole in Dorset. The West Somerset Railway runs steam trains from the terminus station. A large sandy beach, walks up to North Hill in the National Park, an attractive harbour and a bustling town makes Minehead a busy centre.
