Wheddon Cross is the highest village on Exmoor with far sweeping views towards Exmoor's highest point - Dunkery Beacon. The village is also at the heart of the farming community hosting one of the only livestock markets within the National Park.
During early spring a park and ride scheme operates to the nearby 'snowdrop valley' where snow drops carpet the woodland floor in a spectacular display.
Highlights
- Snowdrop Valley (February and March each year)
- St John’s church, Cutcombe
- The clockmakers sundial
